Ian Anderson was here...

The one and the only... Ian Anderson!

I had the chance to experience Ian Anderson Orchestral Performance with special guest Lucia Micarelli and Sefika Mutluer on the night of 23rd June in Izmir Fair Open Air Theatre.

It was thrilling to hear him flutter tonguing and singing or humming or even snorting on the stage live. He played most of the "Ian Anderson Plays Orchestral Jethro Tull" album and in addition her played duo on "Sefika's Blues" with Sefika Mutluer and "Kashmere" of Led Zeppelin with Lucia Micarelli. Lucia played one piece from her own album as well.

He was emotional in "Life is a long song" and inspired us back again. The long masterpiece "Budapest" was one of the last pieces of the concert and it was excellent... And those two ans a holf hours somehow ended as life ends...

Alice ve Kedi / Alice and the Cat

Alice kediye sorar... / Alice asks the Cat...

Alice - Bu yollardan hangisini seçeyim? / Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?
Kedi / The Cat- Nereye gitmek istiyorsun ki ? / That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.
Alice- Bilmiyorum. / I don't much care where.
Kedi / The Cat- Nereye gitmek istediğini bilmediğine göre hangi yolu seçeceğinin ne önemi olabilir ki? / Then it doesn't much matter which way you go.
Alice – Yeter ki bir yere varayım… / …so long as I get somewhere.
Kedi / The Cat- Tabi varabilirsin, yeterince uzun yürürsen. / Oh, you're sure to do that, if only you walk long enough.

Alice - Ben bu deliler kalabalığına katılmak istemiyorum. / But I don't want to go among mad people
Kedi / The Cat- Bu mümkün değil. Burada hepimiz deliyiz çünkü. / Oh, you can't help that, we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.
Alice- Ama ben deli değilim ki? / How do you know I'm mad?
Kedi / The Cat- Deli olmasan bizim dünyamıza gelir miydin? / You must be, or you wouldn't have come here.

Harikalar Dünyasına Hoşgeldiniz! / Welcome to Wonderland!
Chapter VI- Pig and Pepper, Alice Harikalar Diyarında / Alice in Wonderland, 1865.

Thinking About You!

Thinking About You - RADIOHEAD
- I have always seen "Pablo Honey" as one of the best albums ever made... It is a pity that I listened it much later than it is published, but everything has its own time. The time did not come then... I am thankful to Mr. Yorke for all the amazing feelings, as he helped to survive and get better.
This song was my prayer for the first beloved woman that left me. She took “the heart” with her.
I will not forget 1997 any way…A year of controversies... A year of mixed feelings.I have been broken... and I must have broken many hearts.
Now thinking about all again. Thanks for all the memories... -

Been thinking about you, your records are here,
your eyes are on my wall, your teeth are over there.
But I'm still no-one, and you're now a star,
what do you care?

Been thinking about you, and there's no rest,
shit I still love you, still see you in bed.
But I'm playing with myself, and what do you care
when the other men are far, far better.

All the things you've got,
all the things you need,
who bought you cigarettes,
Who bribed the company to come and see you honey?

I've been thinking about you, so how can you sleep?
These people aren't your friends, they're paid to kiss your feet.
They don't know what I know and why should you care
when I'm not there...

Been thinking about you, and there's no rest,
should I still love you, still see you in bed.
But I'm playing with myself, what do you care,
when I'm not there.

All the things you've got,
she'll never need,
all the things you've got.
I've bled and I bleed to please you.

Been thinking about you.

Pablo Honey, October 1991.
